It was proposed to establish the Day of Solidarity with Russia in Italy, TASS reports. The Help Us Save Children public organization came up with this idea. According to its leader Ennio Bordato, the Day of Russian-Italian Solidarity will help promote and strengthen fraternal dialogue between the peoples of the two countries. It will be a testament of the friendship between Italy and Russia.

Bordato has no doubt that only this way Russia can be thanked for having come to the aid of Italy in the fight against the epidemic of coronavirus.

He recalled that Russia had already helped Italians. More than a century ago, Russian sailors rescued the inhabitants of Messina after a terrible earthquake, then the crew of the Italy airship that crashed in the Arctic. Russia helped restore the monuments in Aquila, helped Venice after the flood.

Ennio Bordato added that he had already passed the corresponding letter to both houses of parliament, as well as to the mayors of cities where Russian specialists worked.

His charitable organization was one of the first foreign organizations to provide assistance to the children of Beslan after the terrorist attack in school in 2004.

It actively helps the population of eastern Ukraine, where hostilities do not stop. The money is collected for the treatment of children.

In addition, Bordato collaborates with children's hospitals in Arkhangelsk, Volgograd and the Moscow Russian Children's Clinical Hospital.
