The Russian authorities allocated 600,000 million rubles to assist citizens of the Russian Federation who cannot return home from abroad. The corresponding government order was published the day before, TASS reports. As follows from the text of the document, the money will be transferred to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the reserve fund of the government.

Of those Russians who were stuck abroad due to the cancellation of flights, more than 21,000 people have already received material assistance. The total amount exceeds 1.7 billion rubles.

As Russkiy Mir reported, about 4,000 people returned to Russia by airplanes of Russian airlines over the past week. In total, in April and May, more than 20,000 Russians were taken to Russia. And these figures do not include those citizens of Russia who returned home on the planes of foreign airlines.
