Skater Alexander Trusova recognized by Guinness Book of Records again

Russian figure skater Alexandra Trusova has been included in the Guinness Book of Records, TASS reports. She became the first quadruple flip performer in the world.

The skater landed the first quadruple flip in the history of women's single figure skating at the beginning of last winter in Italy, as part of the Grand Prix finals.

Trusova has already hit the Guinness Book of Records twice. She was noted for performing two other jumps in four turns: a  quad Lutz and a a quad toe-loop.

In the 2019/20 season, Trusova twice became the winner of the Grand Prix stages. In the final, she closed the top three. She became a bronze medalist at the European Championship and the Russian Championship. Most recently, the 15-year-old athlete left the group of Eteri Tutberidze and went on to train under Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko’s guidance.
