About 4,000 Russians returned home in past week

About 4,000 people returned to Russia over the past week, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced. According to the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, this is the result of the joint work of all departments, their cooperation and close interaction.

In total, in April and May, Maria Zakharova specified, more than 20,000 Russians returned home by the Russian airlines. 

Maria Zakharova noted that a flight schedule for the next week had already been drawn up, it is constantly being updated taking into account the evolving situation. Flights to France, South Korea, India, Egypt are planned. Planes will also fly to Turkey, the USA, China, Great Britain, Germany, Tajikistan.

Of those Russians who were stuck abroad due to the cancellation of flights, more than 21,000 people received financial aid. The total amount exceeds 1.7 billion rubles, said the representative of the foreign ministry.
