The traditional action in honor of the graduates - the Last Bell - began on Monday, May 25, according to the website of the Ministry of Education. This year’s eleventh graders have to say goodbye to school online due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation.

In the morning, a large-scale marathon opens in VKontakte social network. It is conducted by the Ministry of Education with the participation of the Russian schoolchildren movement and the International Association of Student Television. The Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov will congratulate the students and talk about his own school time. Teachers and graduates from Russian regions will take up the online stage after him. Their congratulations and memories will end with the ringing of the bell, which remains the symbol of the Last Bell Day.

Other actions and flash mobs are timed to parting with school. On VKontakte, graduates can add an emoji status with a bell and a holiday mask to their photos. They will also be able to send greeting cards to classmates and teachers. All stories with #последнийзвонок2020 will be united in one news feed.

Eleventh-graders can thank teachers under the #СпасибоУчителям hashtag, it will unite all social networks. On TikTok, graduates will upload videos in school uniform under #КпраздникуГотов hashtag.

One of the most interesting events can become a flash mob, which is being prepared with the participation of the Russia-1 TV channel. Each graduate will ring the bell at 11:00 to give their own last bell. The broadcast from different regions will show the roll call of schoolchildren, which will end with a single last call for the whole country.
