The number of views of the Immortal Regiment campaign, which is being held online, has already exceeded 20 million, TASS reports. This figure is increasing every day. Everyone wants to see their family heroes in the ranks of online processions, the organizers said.

About three million applications were submitted for participation in the project, and moderators are still checking them. The participants get alerts, which let them know when to watch for their ancestors “marching” in the procession. Notifications are sent to e-mails specified during registration, or through the personal messaging service on social networks.

The Victory Volunteers movement helped to create a single database. A video sequence is automatically generated on its basis, combining pictures of participants in the Great Patriotic War, their descendants and the symbolism of the action. To get into the database, one had to fill out a questionnaire.
