The final stage of the Russian language competition among Austrian gymnasium students was held in Vienna, the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports. Like all other public events, the tournament was held online due to restrictions aimed at counteracting the spread of coronavirus. The organizers were the Austrian Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature and the Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC) in Vienna.

The tournament was the only competition of this kind this year, which was held in the country.

A dozen finalists entered the struggle for victory. They demonstrated a good level of Russian language proficiency by winning regional tournaments.

Students discussed the problems of modern youth, talked about life goals, told what it meant to them to be happy.

The jury, consisting of leading experts, teachers of the Russian language from Russia and Austria, was extremely impressed by the performances of the participants. Therefore, they decided to distribute the prizes among all the finalists.

A huge role was played by the presentations of the contestants. The students sincerely confessed their love for the Russian language, talked about plans for the future, which are associated exclusively with the Russian language and Russia, and explained the importance of the Russian language for the future profession.

Diplomas and certificates for study in Russia will be awarded during the month at the Russian language festival, which will be held on September 17 at the RCSC.
