The musical and poetic Geography of the Great Victory flash mob has been launched by Russian compatriots living abroad. This was reported by the cultural association of Russian-speaking compatriots on its Facebook page.

The action is organized by the Union of Organizations of Russian Compatriots in Spain and Andorra, the Russian Alliance in the Canary Islands and the WE cultural and creative center.

It is aimed at preserving the historical memory of the military glory of Russia, of the importance of the role played by the Red Army in the liberation of European countries from fascism. The project will also help to reflect on the experience and lessons of the Second World War, which affected all countries of the continent. Another important task remains the teaching of the young generation to respect veterans.

Everyone can join the flash mob, regardless of age, place of residence and citizenship. In order to do this, one needs to perform a song or poem about the Great Patriotic War, where geographical names are mentioned. These may be the names of continents, cities, rivers, countries, etc.

A prerequisite for participation is live vocal performance. Foreigners may speak in their native language. The recording of the performance must be sent to the organizers, applications are accepted until April 25.

Commemorative diplomas will be issued to all participants.
