Soviet coaches Valery Lobanovsky and Viktor Maslov, who achieved success in the USSR championships and internationally, are included in the top 100 coaches in the history of football, according to the popular FourFourTwo magazine, TASS reports.

Valery Lobanovsky, who led the USSR national team to the medals of the European Championship and the Olympics, took 9th place in the prestigious list. The compilers of the rating put Viktor Maslov in 34th place. The leader of the list was Scot Alex Ferguson, who achieved great success as head coach of the British club Manchester United.

Over the years, Lobanovsky and Maslov headed Dynamo Kyiv, with which they won the championships of the Soviet Union and the country's cup competitions. The successes of Viktor Maslov are also associated with the Moscow’s Torpedo, which won the USSR championship under his leadership for the first time in its history in 1960.

Valery Lobanovsky was repeatedly included in the rankings of the best coaches in the history of football. Three years ago, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) ranked him among the ten most outstanding coaches in the history of the organization.
