The head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, has extended the restrictions on entry into Russia for foreign citizens, RIA Novosti reports. He said this during a speech at a meeting of the Presidium of the Coordinating Council under the Government of the Russian Federation on combating coronavirus.

According to the Prime Minister, the entry to Russia is limited until the end of April. He added that restrictions will continue until the infection is defeated and the epidemiological situation changes for the better.

For some categories of foreigners, restrictions on entry into the Russian Federation will be canceled, including specialists who carry out adjustment and maintenance of imported equipment. “Such a measure will reduce the negative impact of restrictions on the activities of Russian industrial enterprises, including those that manufacture equipment to combat coronavirus infection,” Mishustin explained.

Russkiy Mir reported that in mid-March Russia introduced restrictions on the entry of foreign citizens into the country in order to combat the spread of coronavirus.
