The autograph of the legendary Russian director Andrei Tarkovsky has become one of the most interesting lots of the 12th Chair auction house, RIA Novosti reports. The bidding will take place on Wednesday, April 22 online.

Three scenes from the script of The Mirror (1975) by Tarkovsky are put up for auction. They are supplemented by directorial notes. Their estimate is 120,000 rubles. The episodes were filmed, but they were not included in the final version of the feature. A picture, capturing the director and actor Donatas Banionis, who performed the main role in Solaris (1972), is also put to auction. The photo was taken in the early seventies, while working on the film, Tarkovsky left his autograph on it. It is also estimated at 120,000 rubles.

The pipe of the poet Arseny Tarkovsky is also presented to the attention of collectors. The director’s father was pictured with this pipe by artist Lev Hornung.

The first official publication with recording of songs performed by Vladimir Vysotsky autographed by the bard will go under the hammer as well. These are six flexible platters in an illustrated publishing cover. In addition, rare photographs of Anna Akhmatova and Sophia Loren are put up for auction.
