The plane with the humanitarian aid from Russia landed at the New York airport on Wednesday evening Moscow time, RIA Novosti reported. It brought the medical equipment, disinfectants, glasses, masks, and respirators. According to Russian Ambassador Anatoly Antonov, there is no doubt that if necessary, the United States will provide its assistance in return.

Russkiy Mir reported that the An-124-100 Ruslan of the Russian Ministry of Defense, loaded with medical masks and equipment, flew overseas from Chkalovsky airfield near Moscow the day before.

The humanitarian assistance was discussed by Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump during a telephone conversation on March 30. The initiative came from the Russian leader, Trump accepted the proposal with appreciation.

The equipment will be handed to hospitals immediately after the Food and Drug Administration check.

The Russian diplomat has no doubt that the Russian humanitarian mission will be successful if at least one life is saved as a result. The head of the diplomatic mission in Washington recalled that today the mortal threat dominates the whole world. One can defeat it only by consolidating efforts. The scale of the problem is so enormous that everyone already understood the impossibility of salvation alone, the ambassador summed up.
