The World Cossack Brotherhood Foundation, established in Australia, issued an appeal in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. Cossacks called on Russian compatriots living in the country to help people at risk. The appeal was signed by the president of the foundation, well-known philanthropist Mikhail Ovchinnikov and the oldest community member of Russian compatriots in Australia Vladimir Ivanov.

The document indicates that the risk group includes older people, as well as people with weakened immune system and those suffering from chronic diseases. The authors of the appeal also included Russian compatriots with an insufficient level of English proficiency in this group.

The Cossacks called on compatriots to contact people at risk and provide all the necessary assistance. The appeal also calls for the active participation of compatriots in the activities of charitable organizations.

The World Cossack Brotherhood Foundation recalled the need to comply with all “preventive measures to curb the coronavirus”. The appeal ends with “Together we will win!” slogan.
