The photos of 47 expositions of the State Tretyakov Gallery are available for free Internet access in the Yandex.Collections section. The leading museum of Russian painting for the first time presented a complete photo archive of its exhibitions, TASS reports.

The archive contains photographs depicting the exhibitions of Vasily Vereshchagin, Arkhip Kuindzhi, Viktor Vasnetsov, Valentin Serov and other great masters of Russian painting. The expositions have been working in the halls of the Tretyakov Gallery since 2015. Some pictures are unique and have not been exhibited before.

According to representatives of the gallery, the photo archive will provide an opportunity for fans of fine art to recall their impressions of visiting exhibitions or to get to know them. The photos will be of interest to designers, art historians and other professionals who organize exhibitions.

The employees of the Tretyakov Gallery, closed to the public due to the coronavirus pandemic, have expanded their activities on the Internet. At various online sites, museum workers conduct virtual tours, lectures and other educational events. The # Tretyakov House project and the Lavrus online educational project have been launched by the gallery.
