Russian Railways cancels some of domestic trains

The movement of some passenger trains that run on the Russian territory has been canceled, TASS reports. The Russian Railways explained the decision by a minimum demand. The schedule of some other trains will also change. In total, the restriction will affect more than three dozen trains. The Russian Railways said that the situation was affected by the development of the coronavirus infection.

Some trains on domestic routes will temporarily stop running. Passengers will be able to go on a planned trip on another train or return their tickets. 

The train service is canceled or reduced till the end of May for the following major destinations: Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow - St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg - Kazan, Irkutsk - Zabaikalsk, Belgorod - Moscow. All changes in the schedule can be found on the Russian Railways website.
