It will take Russia less than three months to cope with the coronavirus pandemic, Russian President Vladimir Putin is convinced. He said this on Thursday, March 26, during a meeting with representatives of Russian businessmen, RIA Novosti reports.

According to Putin, two to three months can be called a good estimate. The President expressed the hope that the country will be able to win the virus even earlier than the mentioned dates.

There is no doubt, he added, that the epidemiological situation in Russia is sure to change for the better. This will happen without a doubt, and the question remains only in time and the effectiveness of teamwork. The President noted that the more effective and tougher the measures taken due to coronavirus will be, the less they will last.

To date, about 840 cases of the disease have been recorded in Russia. More than half of them are identified in the capital.

Thirty-eight people have recovered, and two have become victims of the disease. Almost 140 thousand people remain under medical surveillance.
