More than 350 polling stations will be opened in other countries for a nationwide vote on constitutional amendments, TASS reports.

According to the deputy head of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Nikolai Bulaev, they will work in 145 countries. The head of the CEC, Ella Pamfilova, added that the issue will still be discussed, and the number of countries may increase if negotiations are successful.

At today's meeting, the CEC approved a draft resolution on the procedure for organizing and conducting the all-Russian vote. Now the document will be handed over to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defense and other departments so that they prepare their comments and suggestions.

All-Russian voting is scheduled for April 22.

Russkiy Mir reported that draft law on amendments to the Russian Constitution passed the third, final reading in the lower house of the Russian parliament. The voting took place at a meeting of the State Duma on Wednesday, March 11, according to TASS. More than 380 deputies cast their votes for amendments to the country's fundamental law; deputies of the Communist Party faction decided to abstain. There was not a single vote against.

According to Vyacheslav Volodin, the chairman of the State Duma, the adoption of amendments to the Constitution is necessary in terms of challenges to modern reality and the existing request from society.
