A tour of the 45 halls of the world-famous Hermitage can be made from anywhere in the world using a computer or smartphone. The State Hermitage and Apple made the film in one shot, it contains about six hundred works of art from the Hermitage collection, TASS reports.

The film has been uploaded to Apple’s Russian Internet channel on YouTube; an English version is available on the company's international channel. The Hermitage General Director Mikhail Piotrovsky stated that the project provides an opportunity to see the museum’s collection from a new perspective. In particular, the film will allow you to quickly examine the masterpieces of Russian and foreign masters without haste and inconvenience.

According to Piotrovsky, the most advanced technologies were used to create the video tour. The General Director of the Hermitage is convinced that the project has become a reflection of the current trend in the humanization of technology.

The director of the project, Axinya Gogh, said that the creators sought to present one day in the life of the museum, as well as combine modernity and masterpieces that exist outside of time.
