A stand was opened in New York dedicated to global changes in the landscape in Yakutia. The exposition is presented within the walls of the world-famous Guggenheim Museum. The stand has become part of the anti-urban exhibition of the Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas called "The countryside: the future." Visitors can get acquainted with exhibits from the Russian region and research data within six months, the Izvestia newspaper reports.

Students from the Harvard School of Design and specialists from other countries participated in the preparation of the exhibition. The exposition is supposed to describe and clearly demonstrate how global processes affect the future of certain territories.

The Yakut stand is divided into three parts. The first one is dedicated to the problems of permafrost conservation and research in this area. The exhibition also presents the changes taking place in the landscape of cities and villages as part of global processes. The third section contains photographs and scenes from Yakut films showing the region in different years.
