Best photos of Russian photo contest exhibited in Bucharest

The most beautiful views of Russia, its nature and its inhabitants can be seen in the Romanian capital by visitors to the Most Beautiful Country photo exhibition. It opened in the Grigore Antipas National Museum of Natural History, located in Bucharest, according to the website of the Russian Geographical Society.

The Russian Geographical Society presented to the public almost eight dozen photographs. They became a continuation of the museum exposition. The largest natural science museum in the country is named after the prominent Romanian scientist Grigore Antipa. It contains huge collections of butterflies, fish, reptiles, birds, mammals.

The exhibition was opened by the head of the museum, Luis Popa, the Russian ambassador to Romania, Valery Kuzmin, and the head of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Bucharest, Natalia Muzhennikova. Performers from the Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theater joined the ceremony.

The exhibition will last until March 29.

The Most Beautiful Country photo contest is open to professionals and amateurs from different countries, the only restriction is that the pictures must be taken in Russia. The creative tournament has been held since 2015, over the years the organizers received over 440 thousand photos. The aim of the competition is to foster a responsible attitude towards nature and animals. Exhibitions of the best works of the contest are successfully held in different parts of the world.
