Day of Chechen culture held in Paris

A gala evening dedicated to the culture and traditions of the Chechen Republic took place in Paris. Famous representatives of the world of art, journalists, politicians and diplomats invited by the head of the Firdaws fashion house Aishat Kadyrova gathered in a 19th-century mansion located in the center of Paris, TASS reports.

The event was attended by Russian Ambassador to France Alexey Meshkov, who called the Russian people and the national culture the country's wealth. According to the diplomat, relations between Moscow and Paris are expanding. The event was held as part of the Russian Seasons cultural project.

The program of events included exhibitions and concerts. The paintings of Chechen artists depicting the beauties of the republic and the pages of its history were also presented. The leading groups of Chechnya took part in the concerts - the famous orchestra conducted by Ramzan Bagatsayev performed folk music on traditional instruments.

The Illy male chapel and the ancient Chechen choral singing got a lot of praises from the guests. The song and dance Nokhcho ensemble was also welcomed by the public.
