Rossotrudnichestvo plans to increase the number of state-funded places in Russian universities for African students. This was stated by Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Pavel Shevtsov, the agency reports on its website.

Shevtsov is also sure that it is necessary to expand cooperation in the scientific field between Russia and Africa. In addition, an important part of the work is cultural interaction. Pavel Shevtsov discussed these and other issues in Zambia, where he met with the local government and the representatives of higher educational institutions. One of the main topics at these meetings was the prospects for humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Zambia in the field of education, science, and culture.

In addition, the deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo met with graduates of Russian universities who work in Zambia and students of Russian language courses. They noted that Russian education in Africa is highly valued. The opening of an exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory in World War II at the Livingston Museum is about to take place; new courses are being organized.
