Foreign movie theaters apply for free download of Soviet war films

Foreign movie theaters from Greece to Australia sent more than five hundred applications for free download of restored Soviet war films to the State Film Fund of Russia this year.

 According to the director general of the organization Nikolay Malakov, the number of applications continues to grow. It is also planned to increase the number of films available for download.

Feature films of Soviet film studios about the Great Patriotic War were restored and presented on the website of the State Film Fund for free download in anticipation of Victory Day. Representatives of movie theaters from all over the world can use the service for screenings in large halls and rural clubs. Twenty movies are available for download right now, their number is increasing.

In the year of the 75th anniversary of the victory in World War II, film screenings of feature films and documentaries about the war take place around the world.

A film about the participant of the Italian resistance during the Second World War and the Hero of the Soviet Union Fyodor Poletaev will be screened in Milan in mid-September. The screening will be held as part of the Ingest FelixMilano festival dedicated to Russian cinema.
