Russia delivered humanitarian aid to China

Russia sent humanitarian aid to China to help fight the outbreak of coronavirus infection, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry website.

On Sunday, February 9, the humanitarian cargo was delivered by plane EMERCOM of Russia to the city of Wuhan. Its total weight exceeded 23 tons. Russia sent to China personal protective equipment, which is the most needed by the inhabitants of the territories affected by the epidemic.

Chinese authorities met the plane with humanitarian aid and thanked Russia for assistance.

Russkiy Mir reported that the first two cases of coronavirus were recorded in Russia. The two people who got infected are Chinese. One of them is located in Zabaykalsky Krai, and the other one in the Tyumen region. The number of cases worldwide amounts to tens of thousands.
