Russia presented more than 200 books at Cairo Book Fair

The round table with the participation of Russian and Egyptian experts took place at the 51st Cairo International Book Fair. More than 200 Russian books were presented by the Russkiy Mir Foundation and the Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC) in Cairo during the fair, Rossotrudnichestvo website reports.

The international exhibition center of Egypt hosted the lectures and seminars on the history of relations between Moscow and Cairo in different eras. The events were attended by Russian historians and scholars, including arabic scholar Vladimir Belyakov, who is very famous and respected in the Arab countries.

The celebration of the 60th anniversary of the start of the construction of the grand Aswan Dam, which was designed by Soviet specialists, took place in the Russian booth. In addition to the Russkiy Mir Foundation and the RCSC, the Association of graduates of Russian and Soviet universities took part in preparing the events for the Russian stand.
