Madrid hosts exhibition about Alexander Pushkin

The exhibition dedicated to the life and work of Alexander Pushkin opened in Madrid. It is located in the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office, the agency’s website reports. The exhibition entitled Pushkin and His Muses was organized by the State Pushkin Museum.

The exposition tells the story of the women who inspired the great poet to write the world-famous works. All fans of the Pushkin genius have always been interested who the poet addressed his lyric lines to. The exhibition project will help to answer this question.

The exposition includes the works of artists of the first half of the nineteenth century and drawings of Pushkin himself. The exhibits are accompanied by brief annotations and Pushkin's lines, which help to better understand the personality of the depicted women and the nature of their relationship with Pushkin.

The exhibition runs until February 14.
