Eleven Russian features are included in the program of the International Peace & Film Festival in Orlando (US), which begins on January 30. This year's a special section of the festival will be dedicated to the 75th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, viewers will watch The Brest Fortress (2010) and a number of short films, TASS reports.

The festival, which will last four days, will screen 90 features from 55 countries. In total, 273 films are taking part in the festival, including features, documentaries and animated films.

The authors of many features are directing debutants and students of film schools. The awards will be distributed in several categories, including the main Ambassador of the World prize. Concerts and exhibitions dedicated to the traditions of different countries will be held as part of the film forum.

The festival’s general partner is the Russian-American Community Center of Florida. The festival program includes events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The center’s project called Tribute to Victory in WWII will be opened during the festival. As part of the project, which runs until May 9, various American states will host rallies, round tables, meetings with veterans and siege survivors.
