The symphonic choir from Yekaterinburg is going to perform in Nantes (France), TASS reports. It will take part in Crazy Days Festival. This year the festival is dedicated to the work of Ludwig van Beethoven. This theme will connect almost three hundred concerts included in the festival program.

The Sverdlovsk Philharmonic Choir will perform Beethoven music for almost six hours at the Nantes Palace of Congresses. The concert is also included in the Russian Seasons cultural project. Among other compositions, the Russian musicians are going to perform the Ninth Symphony, Beethoven masterpiece, which will forever remain in history as one of the most interesting creations of the great composer.

A delegation from Yekaterinburg, which organizes the Russian version of the festival, Crazy Days in Yekaterinburg, will also visit Nantes. They will get acquainted with the musicians who will take part in the festival in July.

The invitation of the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic to Nantes has long become a good tradition. For the first time, the festival hosted the Urals in 2007, and since 2015, following Nantes and Tokyo, the cultural forum has been held every year in Yekaterinburg.

Russkiy Mir reported that the program of the Russian Seasons in France was opened by a tour of the Theater of Nations, which started the project with Uncle Vanya by Anton Chekhov. In 2019, Russian Seasons took place in Germany. The Korean peninsula was chosen as the venue for the festival in 2021, and the Scandinavian countries will host it in 2022.
