Performers from Russia, Poland, Belarus and Georgia will take part in the 9th International Vladimir Vysotsky Festival, which opened on January 25 at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Warsaw. The Vladimir Vysotsky Festival will be held within three days with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

The participants are going to submit to the jury and the public their own versions of Vysotsky’s songs in their native languages. The festival has been held since 2011, and during this time the audience heard the songs of the legendary bard in ten languages. Representatives of the CIS and Baltic countries, as well as participants from Germany, Sweden and Norway already took part in the festival.

The son of the poet Nikita Vysotsky will become a special guest of the forum. He will hold an event in Warsaw. Among other things, he will tell the Polish fans of his father about the projects of the Moscow State Museum of Vladimir Vysotsky, which he manages.

Vladimir Vysotsky festivals traditionally discuss the influence that Vysotsky-poet and Vysotsky-actor had on prominent representatives of Polish stage art.
