The International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature, with the support of Russia’s Ministry of Education, has created a free mobile application for learning Russian as a second language. It is called Talk2Russia, the website of the Russian Society of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature reports.

The app contains tasks and exercises for various levels of Russian language proficiency. An accessible form of presentation of the language rules allows one to study independently or use it as practical assistance in the system of course training.

According to the developers, the application is intended primarily for young foreigners and specialists in various fields who study Russian for their working needs. The app can help a student to learn many words and expressions and enrich the vocabulary.

The app includes three sections. The introductory phonetic course will enable the user to learn the Russian alphabet and get acquainted with the rules of reading and pronunciation. The elementary level course will provide knowledge about vocabulary and teach how to build grammatical constructions. The basic level course will increase language competencies.
