A young resident of Salzburg (Austria) decided to study the Russian language after her Christmas wish was fulfilled by a resident of Karachay-Cherkessia, RIDUS reports.
He found a helium-filled balloon with a message from a nine-year-old girl to Santa Claus incide. The balloon with the note travelled for more than two thousand kilometers and sank to the ground in the yard of Amin Adzhiev, a farmer from the village of Krasny Kurgan.
Adzhiev told that the letter was signed with the name Sofia. She asked Santa Claus for a castle tent, a scooter and a dress from a fairy tale. First, the man had to find an interpreter to read the message, and when he figured out what was the matter, he decided to play the role of Santa Claus for the girl.
Relatives, acquaintances and users of social networks helped to raise money. After that, Amin Adzhiev was able to contact the girl’s parents, and the gifts found their place under the Christmas tree.
Sofia’s mom was born in Kazakhstan and speaks Russian well. She taught her daughter how to say “Thank you” and “Happy New Year!” to Amin.
