The Festival of Russian animation took place in Bari (Italy), the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports. The event is held in Bari for the fourth time.

Creative producer of Soyuzmultfilm Elena Chernova spoke about new projects of the studio. According to her, Soyuzmultfilm, which is known for its longstanding traditions, counts on new names now. Young directors have absorbed the vast experience of previous generations and can properly represent the Russian school of animation, she noted.

Creator of Masha and the Bear series Oleg Uzhinov became one of the  fprincipal festival’s guests. The series is popular with adult and children's audiences around the world, the number of views has already broken many world records. Spectators in Bari were able to see new episodes of the fourth season of the series called Masha’s Songs.

One of the main events of the festival program was a master class. Traditionally, it was held for students of the Radost educational center for the development of bilingualism and the study of the Russian language. The students have already created the third animated film dedicated to episodes from the life of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, which is especially symbolic for Bari and the Patriarchal Metochion of the Moscow Patriarchate, where the festival was held.
