Students at the Beijing Central Academy of Drama are taking an internship program in Moscow. The students are hosted by the GITIS academy of theatrical art, the Kultura TV channel reports. They study acting and directing, stage movement, the history of Russian theater and the method of Stanislavsky. About three dozen people have been studying in Russia for the third month.

According to the rector of the Russian theater university Grigory Zaslavsky, GITIS was not chosen by chance. The Beijing Institute was created back in the forties of the last century by order of Mao Zedong and GITIS was taken as a sample. The first teachers in China were masters from the Soviet Union.

The Chinese students, who have arrived in Russia plan to take on teaching in the future. In GITIS, a special program was developed for guests, it includes three hundred hours combining work with text, actors and directors. The students often visit the capital's theaters. They are especially surprised that the houses are filled to capacity in any weather.
