More than 4 thousand people visited Russian culture festival in Germany

Film screenings, exhibitions, concerts and other events were included in the program of the festival of Russian culture, which was held in the German cities of Essen and Recklinghausen.

The festival events brought together more than four thousand spectators from different regions of Germany, as well as from Russia, the Netherlands and Estonia, in cinemas, galleries and classrooms of local schools and universities, Russkoe Pole reports.

One of the central events of the festival, which was held for the sixteenth time, was the Touch of Eternity exhibition, which will work in Essen until mid-February. The exposition presents Russian icons and other exhibits. An exhibition dedicated to the Volga Germans also attracted a number of vieweres.

The premiere of Vladimir Khotinenko’s feature The Lenin Factor became another striking event of the festival. 
 
The festival was organized by the joint efforts of Russia, Germany and organizations of Russian compatriots. It was supported by the Ministry of Culture of Russia, the Ministry of Science and Culture of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the cities of Recklinghausen and Essen.
