The Russian booth was opened at the International Charity Fair in Luxembourg by organizations of Russian compatriots living in the country and with the support of the Russian embassy. The funds raised will be directed to the treatment of children and assistance to nursing homes in Russia, the website of the Moscow House of Compatriots reports.

Guests of the Russian booth had the chance to see and purchase Russian souvenirs, items of folk clothes and everyday life, works of Russian classics, as well as try dishes of Russian cuisine. On the first day of the fair the Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel visited the booth. He got acquainted with the exhibits and goods and tasted Russian treats.

Part of the collected money will go to Russian organizations involved in social projects. In particular, the funds will be received by the Konstantin Khabensky Russian Charity Fund, which helps sick children, and the Starost V Radost Fund, which supports 120 nursing homes in more than twenty regions of Russia.

The charity fair was held in Luxembourg for the 59th time.
