Alexander Kolchak, a talented military leader and a well-known Arctic explorer, has many achievements in military affairs. After the revolution, he became the head of the White Movement and even received the title of Supreme Ruler of Russia. At the same time, the Communists call Kolchak a war criminal, since he approved terror against civilians. From a historical point of view, Kolchak’s personality is of great interest, but even scientists cannot unambiguously evaluate his actions.
