International forum of Russian language and culture held in Mexico

The International forum of the Russian language and culture was held in Mexico, the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports. It brought together more than two hundred people who gathered in the city of Monterrey. The forum in Mexico has become an annual tradition. Among its organizers are the Mexican Association of the Russian Language and the Latin American-Russian Association. Every year, members of the Nicaraguan Association of Russian Culture join the participants.

Lectures and classes on the Russian as a foreign language were organized for the participants. They were conducted by leading experts of the RUDN University. Further online training courses were opened for teachers. Everyone could take an exam in the Russian language and get a certificate.

In addition, presentations of the capabilities of the Russian higher school took place. Students, their teachers and parents were told what prospects foreign applicants had in Russia, as well as how to get higher education for free.

A large cultural program was organized for the forum participants. The next forum will be held in the fall of 2020. The city of Guanajuato was chosen to host it.
