Pskov University opens Russian language center in Finland

Open Education Russian language center named after Alexander Nevsky to be launched in Finland. Department of Humanitarian studies and language communications of the Pskov State University to work on this project. Russian and Finnish students will study there, Pskov news feed reports. 

There are two study programs, one is dedicated to RSL program, another tailored for Russian native speakers.

Educational and cultural programs popularising Russian language and culture in Russia and Finland are planned. Realisation of the project was possible because of the grant from Russian Education Ministry that was won by  Pskov State University. 

Russkiy Mir has published before the results of questionnaire among Finnish parents who named Russian language one of the most important foreign languages for studying in educational institutions.
