The forum of Slavic cultures is going to organize a new touristic route through European cities, TASS reports. It will be dedicated to Slavic female writers. One of its initiators was Alla Manilova, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation. According to the head of the Forum of Slavic Cultures Andrea Richter, unfortunately, the heritage of Slavic culture is not very popular in the world. The requirements of the Council of Europe state that a route must have its own specifics, it is necessary to prove its importance.

Richter recalled that at the beginning of the last century, women could not participate in political life, did not have the right for education. At that time, female writers played a huge role in history, they became iconic figures in society.

The route will be laid in six countries. In Russia, it will pass through places associated with the names of Anna Akhmatova, Marina Tsvetaeva and Zinaida Gippius. In Serbia, attention will be drawn to the life and work of the poetess Desanka Maksimovic and writer Isidora Sekulic, in Slovenia - to the playwright Zofka Kveder, in Montenegro - to the translator Divna Vekovic, in Poland - to the writer Maria Konopnitskaya, in Croatia - to the writer Ivana Brlich-Majuric and journalist Maria Yurich Zagorka.

Each country has the right to choose one or several writers, submit them to the Forum of Slavic cultures. Alla Manilova is sure that the route will help to draw the attention of Europeans to Russian sights. Hopefully, it will be interesting for foreign tourists.
