Russian Week in Turkey takes place in Ankara, Russian Education website reports. The festival  unites several cultural events in the frames of the Road to Russia international expedition organised by Penza State Technological University.

All interested in Russian culture, folk traditions, including students and teachers, Russian compatriots and locals are participating.

Meetings with cultural figures, lectures dedicated to Russian classical literature and contemporary authors take place. Artisans teach guests the basics of Gzhel painting,  weaving and basketry and other types of national arts.

Such actions not only help poularise Russian language but also make people feel more related to Russian culture, according to organisers.
