Message left by Soviet soldiers found in local Polish post office

Message left by Soviet soldiers was found by Polish workers in Elblag located in the northern part of the country. “May, 9th – the end of the war” message written on the wall was found during the post office reconstruction. Local administration is to decide what to do with this historical sign, Kaliningrad informational and analytical portal informs. 

A local historian Karol Vushinsky states that the scribble has to be preserved because it's a part of the city's history. The researcher has marked that the post office is one of the few historical buildings in the city. The old town of Elblag was almost completely destroyed during World War Two. 

Elblag is located in Poland close to the Russian border. It is connected with neighbouring Kaliningrad and Baltiysk as a twin-city. Elblag was founded by crusaders in 1237. During several centuries it was a part of Prussia and German Empire. After Soviet Army had freed the city from fascists, it has entered Poland.  вошёл в состав Польши.
