The Asian conference of the Valdai International Discussion Club is being held for the tenth time, TASS reports. The forum, which is being hosted by Uzbekistan for the first time, was attended by diplomats, scientists and other experts. Representatives of Russia, Uzbekistan, Germany, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Tajikistan and other states arrived in Samarkand. One of the organizers of the conference is the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan, the country's leading analytical center.

Before the start of the forum, the leaders of the Valdai club and ISMI Andrey Bystritsky and Eldor Aripov signed the cooperation document. The agreement provides for the creation of a whole network of partner research centers. According to Bystritsky, they will cover the entire Eurasia but will not be limited to it. The club chairman said that joint conferences, reports and much more would be held as part of the implementation of the agreement.

The message of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to the guests and organizers of the forum notes that the conference is aimed at exploring a very important issue - the development of multilateral cooperation in Central Asia and throughout Eurasia in the context of global threats and challenges. The Russian leader assured that Moscow was ready for constructive and equal cooperation with all countries of the continent.
