Finnish people learned about Folkloriada in Bashkortostan

Folkloriada - the World Folk Competition, which to be held next summer in Bashkortostan, has been presented in Finland, the website of the Ministry of Culture reports. Visitors to the international music exhibition WOMEX-19 were told about the major cultural event.

A stand was organized at the exhibition in the Scandinavian state informing about the program of the cultural forum, its main events and participating countries. The main events of the competition will unfold in the Ufa Vatan ethnical park; in total, more than seventy venues will operate in nine festival districts.

Russkiy Mir reported that the 6th World Folk Competition would be held in Ufa on July, 18 – August, 1, 2020. It takes place every four years. The task of this large-scale event is to show the diversity of the cultural heritage of mankind and contribute to its preservation. The main part of the festival of 2020 will traditionally consist of artistic performances. Visitors will enjoy folk games, acquaintances with artisans who have preserved ancient traditions, master classes and lectures.
