The Way to Victory: Historical Sources Testify exhibition is launched in the capital of Romania, TASS reports. It was organized in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory by the Russian Historical Society and the History of the Fatherland Foundation. The exposition includes historical documents, of which many have only recently been declassified. The documents have not been exhibited before and contain information about the decisive role of the Red Army in ridding humanity of fascism.

The Russian ambassador Valery Kuzmin recalled that October 25 marked the 75th anniversary of the country's liberation from occupation. Almost seventy thousand Soviet soldiers laid down their heads in battles.

The diplomat recalled that Romania was very attentive with military graves and treated them with great respect. Russia appreciated it, the ambassador assured.

Bucharest became the second European capital, where the public will see a mobile exhibition. The first was Sofia.

Note that the exhibition will also be held in France, Switzerland, the United States, Israel, the Baltic countries, the former Soviet republics, Austria and Norway. Exhibits will visit more than two dozen countries.

In the photographs you can see how the inhabitants of Romania welcomed the passing units of the Red Army. "The bulk of the population of Romania met the end of the war with the Soviet Union with great relief, as a long-awaited event," stated the report of the political department of the 53rd Army.
