The Most Beautiful Country contest launches

The Most Beautiful Country contest organised by the Russian Geographical Society starts accepting applications for the 6th time. Works are accepted until the end of January 2020. 

RGS recalls that this event is the largest photography contest in Russia. About half-million pictures were received during last 5 years. Any professional or amateur photographer located in any place of the world can become the part of the competition. Only one term is that pictures should be made in Russia. 

As Russkiy Mir reported, the most important goal of this  project is to attract attention to the Russian environment protection. As a prize, the best photographer will receive notorious money amount, and the Photographer of the Year title. Expert jury to define winners in such nominations as Landscape, From Down to Sunrise, Birds, Macroworld, These Funny Animals, Many Faces of Russia. Participants are invited to “repeat” shots made 100 years ago.
Kids from 5 to 16 years old are also invited to participate in The Most Beautiful Country Through Children Eyes.
