The Stories of Artists exhibition, organized jointly by Russia and Monaco, has opened in the Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Center, located in the center of Paris. The exposition presents the works of Monegasque artists Gerard Pettiti and Claude Rostisher, who were influenced by Russian artists and poets of the 20th century, TASS reports.

Russian fans of fine art are familiar with the work of Monegasque masters, previously their exhibition worked in Moscow and Rostov-on-Don.

Artists do not hide the influence exerted on them by Russian culture, and this influence is noticeable in their works. Pettiti and Rostisher became the first representatives of Monaco awarded the title of honorary members of the Russian Academy of Arts.

The ambassador of Russia to France and Monaco Alexey Meshko, said that the exposition allowed you to get acquainted with contemporary artists of Monaco, whose art was historically connected with Russian culture. The Russian diplomat and Monaco’s ambassador to Russia Mireille Pettiti admitted that in recent years several large-scale joint projects of the two countries in culture and other areas were successfully implemented.
