Russian-Japanese forum of rectors takes place in Moscow

Lomonosov Moscow State University hosts the Russian-Japanese Forum of Rectors, TASS reports. A major international event is being held for the eighth time. The representatives of higher education institutions of the two countries discuss important issues of scientific and educational policy. Among them are the exchange of students and scientists, the development of medicine. Another topic of the forum will be the promotion of regional cooperation.

The forum is dedicated to a bilateral student forum where young people from Russia and Japan will gather. A Russian-Japanese scientific forum is scheduled for tomorrow.

According to MSU rector Viktor Sadovnichy, it is necessary to intensify cooperation between clinics of Russian and Japanese universities. The National Council for University Clinics operated in Japan, he recalled. University clinics are actively spreading in Russia too. Collaboration between clinics at leading universities can be another important area of ​​cooperation between Russia and Japan, Sadovnichy is sure.

The rector of MSU added that universities in Russia and Japan were actively cooperating in the field of science and higher education, including in the field of medicine. Higher educational institutions of the countries hold joint medical forums and implement research projects.

Russkiy Mir reported that the 7th Forum of Rectors of universities in Russia and China was held in Moscow earlier. It has given start to the implementation of the Teacher of the Great Silk Road of the 21st Century project, within the framework of which it is planned to create a whole system of teaching Russian and Chinese languages.
