Russian Dina Averina has become the world champion in individual all-around, TASS reports. She once again climbed to the top step of the podium at the world championship in rhythmic gymnastics. The tournament is held in the capital of Azerbaijan.

This gold medal put the Russian athlete among the most titled gymnasts in the world. She became the fifth in history to be able to win this title three times. Two Russians are already in this list - Yana Kudryavtseva and Evgenia Kanaeva.

Dina Averina got more than ninety-one points. The silver medal went to her sister - Arina Averina. The bronze was received by the Israeli athlete Lina Ashram.

Previously, she became the winner in the individual all-around at the world championships in 2017 and in 2018.

Russkiy Mir reported that the leader of the Russian team Dina Averina brought the national team four gold medals. Previously, she won the exercises with the ball, clubs and ribbons. Thanks to the awards won in Baku, the athlete became the 13-time world champion. Her teammate Ekaterina Selezneva showed the best world result in hoop exercises, and athletes won the fifth gold in the team tournament.

The World Cup will end on Sunday, September 22. The competitions are particularly important because they are the qualifiers for the Summer Olympic Games, which will be held next summer in the capital of Japan.
