The OSCE should give its assessment of the blockade of the Crimean peninsula, the head of the Crimean Tatar television and radio company Millet Ervin Musaev said. In his opinion, the international organization needs to intensify work with the Crimea and Crimeans, RIA Novosti reports. The journalist spoke at the OSCE meeting on the protection of human rights, which took place in the Polish capital.

Musaev recalled that the residents of the Crimea were in an international blockade. The international community chose to turn a blind eye when the Kiev regime, in violation of human rights, organized water, transport, and energy blockades. To date, they have managed to cope with its consequences, but the OSCE must respond to Ukraine’s actions.

Musaev called another crime of human rights a ban on Crimeans traveling to some Western countries with Russian passports. According to him, these are double standards that run counter to the democratic principles on which the OSCE’s activities are based.

Crimean journalists also invited the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media to visit the peninsula so he could see for himself how things were in Crimea. In their appeal, they note that they are open to dialogue, cooperation and equal partnership with their colleagues from all over the world.
