Cinema Week of Sochi International Film Festival opened in London

Features from Russia, the UK and Canada were included in the SIFFA UK-2019 Film Week program of the Sochi International Film Festival and the film award of the same name. According to the organizers, London-based moviegoers will be able to experience the atmosphere of the festival, which took place in December 2018, the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports.

The festival opened with a screening of the latest film by the famous Russian director and actress Vera Glagoleva - Not Strangers. Another Russian feature included in the program was The Etigelov Phenomenon. The riddle of the Buryat Lama, directed by Elena Demidova. The screening will take place on September 13, and a day earlier, viewers will see the British feature "Love ... Possibly", in which the leading part was played by Russian actress Anna Danshina. The actress will also participate in a creative meeting within the week.

Russkiy Mir reported that in November Russian Cinema Week would open in several cities in the UK. The best Russian features released during last 18 years will be chosen for the British viewers. The festival was established to strengthen cultural ties between Russia and the UK.
